Microsoft surface is one of the popular devices in PC/Tablet market made by Microsoft. As far as Surface Pro 3 is concerned. Microsoft has released a new firmware for these devices widely called as August 2016 firmware which Installs v 220.127.116.11 in the Embedded controller. The most common fix being the device not detecting the full charge capacity of the battery. This firmware updates the “fuel gauge” part that fixes this issue. However, this bug affected only limited number of devices.
This firmware would be rolled out in stages, so it might not be present on the same day of release aka today. However, you can always download the package manually and extract it and Install. To manually download, go here.
Remember, that this firmware would install successfully only on machines running windows 8 and 10.
