Microsoft starts releasing Insider Builds from a new lab, 19H1
With Redstone 5 nearing completion, Microsoft opened Skip ahead to next Insider released last week. For those who do not know, Skip Ahead is an Insider Build ring that proceeds Fast ring where Insiders get the releases from the next branch(19H1) rather than one to be finalized(RS5). After opening Skip Ahead, Microsoft also released First build from the respective lab called 19H1, yesterday. Having Build number 18204.
In addition, a Redstone 5 Build was also released having Build number 17723. Both the Builds have identical same new features, which is expected too as the labs have just split. The new features in both the builds include Some Mixed reality improvements, support for leap second etc.
The new features, most anticipated one being Sets with others is expected to arrive soon in 19H1. 19H1 is expected to release in April 2019, where Redstone 5 is scheduled to be in late 2018 and version 1809 which doesn’t have any big anticipated feature but is expected to be more stable release that others as it would also be a part of LTSB.
