Windows 10 is based on Windows as a service where the OS gets continually developed over the time. The original Windows 10 was released in July 2015 called version 1507 has been refined 4 times:
- Version 1511 aka November update
- Version 1607 aka Anniversary update
- Version 1703 aka Creators update
Microsoft life cycle fact sheet states that the July 2015 release of Windows 10 expires in 2025:

But Microsoft has changed its mind and it plans to exit version 1507 on May 9. Microsoft on a recent blog post announced
the same that 1507 will no longer receive the updates from May 9. May 9 is the next patch Tuesday if we see.
Microsoft recommends updating to creators update as soon as possible.
