Microsoft to retire Windows 10 version 1507 on May 9

Windows 10 is based on Windows as a service where the OS gets continually developed over the time. The original Windows 10 was released in July 2015 called version 1507 has been refined 4 times:
  1. Version 1511 aka November update
  2. Version 1607 aka Anniversary update
  3. Version 1703 aka Creators update

Microsoft life cycle fact sheet states that the July 2015 release of Windows 10 expires in 2025:

But Microsoft has changed its mind and it plans to exit version 1507 on May 9. Microsoft on a recent blog post announced the same that 1507 will no longer receive the updates from May 9. May 9 is the next patch Tuesday if we see.
Microsoft recommends updating to creators update as soon as possible.
