Making a USB drive to clean Install Windows
The first advantage of MCT is that it facilitates a clean installation of Windows on a computer. From the Software download website:
If you want to perform a reinstall or clean install of Windows 11 on a new or used PC, use this option in Windows 11 Media Creation Tool to download the media creation tool to make a bootable USB or DVD.
Note: Windows 11 media creation tool cannot be used to create installation media for Arm-based PCs; it can only create media for x64 processors.
Download the ISO to upgrade several Computers
The tool can also be used to download the Windows ISO file, allowing you to update to the new Windows version without an internet connection. Concurrently, this helps in the following two scenarios:
