Windows 10 1809 rollout Stopped

On October 2, Microsoft made available the newest feature update to Windows 10 1809, called the October update version 1809, to download.  The update, initially in seeker-only mode, was released to production as well as the Release preview ring Insiders. One could either do an Inplace Upgrade or Download the ISO File. The rollout on the first day went smoothly, with minor bugs being reported.

As the number of people who started downloading increased, reports began to come that files were being lost after the update. As files are one of the most important things for a user, Microsoft has decided to halt the upgrade prcess until further notice. The Windows 10 update History page</a> explains the same:

We have paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all users as we investigate isolated reports of users missing some files after updating.
