About Windows 11 2025 update
As we discussed in this article, Microsoft has stated that Windows 11 25H2 will be a minor update, with the monthly updates already updating the codebase, and this minor update will unlock the features. This minor update is also known as the enablement package, previously used with Windows 11 23H2. This mqkes the update easier to install, and within minutes.
Windows 11 25H2 in Release Preview – What are the new features
Microsoft is delivering continuous innovation in Windows 11, with monthly updates that include features gradually rolling out. An example can be seen in the gradual rollout section, which would be rolled out fully with the Windows 11 25H2 release. Here are some highlights:
New Start Menu in 25H2
This update includes a brand-new Start menu, where the sidebar features Phone access, and all apps are displayed on the first page. You can display all apps from a Category, listed as per your preference. It is also more responsive to my use.
AI Features
Several AI features are rolling with the update, especially for Copilot+PCs. Some of these are below:
- Ability to generate a contextual description of images in Narrator
- Ability to show which third-party applications recently used generative AI models in the Settings app.
- New selection modes in Click to Do.
There are several other new features and enhancements rolling out.
